Submarine Steel Watch - Sinn unveiled the third U-series dive watch at Munichtime 2016 (joined by the U1 Camouflage from earlier this year), featuring all the hallmarks of the line, including steel cases of the sea and a non-military character. One of the three is usually a military watch.

"Mil" is short for milliradian, a unit of angular measurement used in mapping and art, whose absolute value is 6,283,185.

The bezel is a manual navigation device: the twin hour hands and the compass bezel can be used together to determine direction by aligning the bezel to north, which is determined by the time and place of the Sun.
212 KSK is added to the hour-dial hand that displays the second position on the 24-hour scale. And it's powered by an automatic ETA 2893 with GMT movement.
Similar in appearance to the classic U212 diver's watch, the KSK version measures 47mm in diameter and features a bezel covered in a hard black coating. In addition, the bezel is also treated with Tegiment, Sinn's unique surface hardening process, to make it virtually scratch resistant.
Then the inside of the case is filled with argon gas to prevent moisture leakage. Any moisture that gets in is absorbed by the capsule which produces copper oxide visible on the dial at 6 o'clock.

Here are the U1 variants with all black cases. these two are part of the regular collection, not limited editions. The cases are made from underwater steel treated with Tegiment and coated with a layer of black ceramic. The 44mm U1 is calibrated to 1000 meters and powered by the Sellita SW200, an ETA 2824 caliber.
First up is the U1 S, the original U1 in black and red, dressed in black.
The second is the U1 SE with Super-Luminova dial and hands for a vintage look that is very similar to the limited edition U1-D that was made for Singapore's The Hour Glass last year. .
The 212 KSK starts at €2480 on a leather or fabric version and goes up to €2650 for the one on a steel bracelet.
